Windermere Boulevard Elementary held their second annual school-wide Veteran's Day Parade on Nov. 9, 2023. This event was created in 2022 by the first-grade team of teachers who teach about citizenship and national holidays such as Veterans Day as part of a Social Studies unit. The students walking in the parade are accompanied by a family member who has or is serving in the military. First-grade classrooms also held a fundraiser for Wings Flights of Hope in honor of local veterans.
