Windy's Clothing Closet
Elementary families from Windermere Boulevard Elementary and Smallwood Drive Elementary can make use of Windy’s Clothing Closet for free clothing for students in grades PreK to fifth grade. The closet has pants, shirts, sweaters, coats, hats, mittens, boots, shoes, sneakers, sandals, socks, new underwear, concert clothing, summer clothing and much more for boys and girls in sizes from 4T to 18Y. Families can "shop" for clothing at no charge. Families do not need to make an appointment, you can just walk in during operating hours. Summer 2026 Dates
- The Clothing Closet is open June 17, July 15, and August 19 from 3-6 p.m.
- A Community Meal free dinner is available at the church from 5-6 p.m. on those dates.
School Year Operating Hours
- During the school year, the closet is open on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3-6 p.m.
- Community Meal: A free dinner is available at the church from 5-6 p.m. when the closet is open.

The clothing closet is located at Trinity Methodist Church, 711 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Amherst NY 14226.
You can access the entrance and parking lot from Marion Road.
How to Donate to Windy's Closet
New or gently used, washed clothing can be dropped off when the closet is open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month between 3-6 p.m. Please bring all donations to Trinity Methodist Church, 711 Niagara Falls Boulevard.
There are certain items we need including:
- children's sneakers/shoes/boots
- children's clothing (sizes 4T - 18 youth)
- winter apparel - coats, scarves, hats, mittens/gloves
- food donations - pasta, pasta sauce, canned vegetables, lemonade/ice tea mix
